Sam Kindred first started working as a barista at The Bean Cafe in Mesilla in 2011. After a year of being the friendly face behind the counter, Sam learned the ins and outs of the kitchen. She graduated with a bachelors degree in athletic training from NMSU in 2014 and moved to Austin, TX for one year. Her return to the desert in 2015 prompted new opportunities, and she learned the technique of roasting coffee and early morning baking. During the summer of 2017, Sam began running The Bean herself. She enjoys good coffee, rainy day baking, and keeping up with her favorite tennis players.
